Speaker of the House is a political term referring to a number of people:
- In the United Kingdom and Canada, the Speaker of the House of Commons is the individual elected to preside over the elected House of Commons. In the UK, it may also erroneously be used as "Speaker of the House of Lords" when in fact that title is Lord Speaker.
- The current Speaker of the House of Commons is Michael Martin (Labour), MP for Glasgow North East, who was initially elected in 2000 and has been re-elected twice.
- In the United States, the Speaker of the House of Representatives presides over the Lower House of Congress, the House of Representatives
- Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat, was elected to this post at the beginning of the 110th Congress in January 2007. She represents California's 8th congressional district.
